Dear Friends!

The ancient history of the Vologda region began many centuries ago. Our area played a significant role in formation of the Russian nation and contributed to the treasury of the Russian and world culture.

Today the favorable geographical position of the region, ample natural resources, highly skilled experts, an effective system of the economy management, and auspicious opportunities for business development offer an extensive scope for activity of vigorous and entrepreneurially-inclined people.

The Vologda Region is an industrially-developed, export-oriented area in northwest Russia. Over the years we have maintained trade and economic relations with more than 100 countries in the world. The scope of our activity is vast. We are constructing roads, laying gas pipelines, recycling wood, delivering prime quality food products to the Russian and foreign markets, casting steel, growing up flax, spinning wonderful laces, and designing modern trolley buses. Moreover, we accept tens of thousands of tourists annually.

Our region is bestowed with natural wonders, picturesque landscapes, and uncountable monuments of a glorious past. All these factors make the Vologda Region attractive and appealing to investors.
