BRICS Creative Innovation Forum: Cultural Code Is Key to Innovation in Creative Industries

The Innosocium Foundation, the social platform of the Roscongress Foundation, held a session titled ‘New Russian Cultural Code: The Art of Preserving, Rethinking, and Transforming’ at the BRICS Creative Innovation Forum on 3 September.

The session participants discussed the influence of global trends on shaping and preserving a national identity, the use of innovative technologies in preserving traditional cultural practices, and the role of technological progress in the explication of traditions in creative industries. The speakers noted the important role that art plays in understanding national culture and the potential of technologies, which help to transform the cultural code and give it new meanings. Affiliation with a certain culture becomes a kind of quality mark or a brand that is valued and embodied in projects that are not only in high demand on the local market but the international one as well.

The session was moderated by LyudiPeople Founder and Managing Partner Vladimir Zmeyushchenko.
