Russia–Mexico business dialogue: webinar to cover key issues

Деловой диалог России и Мексики: ключевые вопросы обсудят на вебинаре

The ‘Doing Business in Mexico: Russian Experience and Outlook’ webinar will be held on 26 February 2025 at 17:30 (MSK) and is being organized by the Roscongress Foundation in conjunction with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and the Russian Trade Mission to Mexico.

The webinar is being held in the run-up to the Russia–Mexico Business Forum scheduled for 3 April 2025 in Mexico City in response to a growing interest in economic cooperation in both countries. Trade between Russia and Mexico has grown steadily in recent years to USD 661 million. Russia’s main exports include nitrogen fertilizers, aluminium, and chemical products, and Mexico supplies Russia with auto parts, copper scrap, fruit, and spirits. Indicators point to great potential for bilateral cooperation, a central topic of the webinar.

The webinar will feature speakers from the Roscongress Foundation and Mexico’s National Chamber of the Manufacturing Industry (CANACINTRA), who will talk about the upcoming forum, and Russian Trade Representative in Mexico Alexander Abramov and RSPP Deputy Managing Director of International Cooperation Anna Solovieva.

The way Russia and Mexico are strengthening economic ties testifies to the high level of interest that exists. Mexico has continued to trade with Russia, and Russian companies are expanding their presence in the strategically important agricultural and energy spheres. This webinar will highlight some of the important opportunities that exist for continued growth and cooperation. We will discuss businesses that have already enjoyed success, important barriers that remain, and prospects for entrepreneurs from both countries,” Roscongress Foundation Chairman and CEO Alexander Stuglev said.

The webinar is an important part of preparations for the Russia–Mexico Business Forum, which will bring together more than 150 representatives of business, government agencies, and business associations. The Forum programme will consist of discussions on the outlook for cooperation in energy, digitalization, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors, as well as panel discussions, presentations, and B2B meetings.
