More than 1000 people will take part in the Parade of Sails during EEF 2024

The 3rd Parade of Sails will be held during the Eastern Economic Forum on 1–6 September in the Amur Bay. The programme will include demonstration sailings of large training ships Nadezhda and Pallada, yachts, regattas, and other events. The EEF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

"The Parade of Sails invariably occupies an important place in the cultural and sports programme of the Eastern Economic Forum. This year more than a thousand young yachtsmen and sailors will take part in the Parade events. The event instills domestic maritime traditions in young people, fostering patriotism and love for the Motherland. The international status of the event strengthens Russia's ties with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region based on the principles of mutual respect and partnership. I am convinced that the Parade of Sails will not only contribute to the development of children's sports and international contacts, but will also further reveal the tourist potential of the Far East," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the EEF.

The Parade programme will be opened by a children's and youth sailing race, as well as the final stage of the international sailing regatta Far East Cup on the route Qingdao (China) – Vladivostok (Russia), which will be held on 1–4 September. In addition, the Roscongress Foundation Cup regatta and cruising yacht competitions will be held on 3–5 September.

Children and young people are scheduled to visit the sailing ships as part of the event. Patriotic events under the EEF Patriot program will be held daily. In particular, the Nadezhda sailing ship will organize meetings of Vladivostok youth patriotic clubs' pupils and Parade of Sails participants with representatives of various professions. The Parade of Sails will be concluded with the solemn awarding of winners and prize-winners.

The organizers are the Russian Association of Training Sailboats with the support of the Roscongress Foundation, the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot), the Federal Fishery Agency (Rosrybolovstvo). International regattas of large training sailing ships are traditionally held in Russia under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation.

The Eastern Economic Forum 2024 will be held on 3–6 September in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University.
