On the threshold of Arctic Forum 2025 Moscow to host the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Far East and Arctic: Sustainable Development’

The International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘The Far East and the Arctic: Sustainable Development’ will be held in Moscow on 13–14 March on the eve of the 6th ‘The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ International Arctic Forum.

Representatives of federal executive authorities, business and the scientific community will discuss the Northern Sea Route Development Plan until 2035, the modernization of the transport and logistics infrastructure of the northern supply chain, the implementation of master plans for the Arctic and Far East reference settlements, and other issues during round tables and sessions. Participants will also touch upon such topics as the digitalization of the Far East and Arctic regions, ensuring energy and food security, attracting investment and labour market prospects.

The conference will include the presentation of the annual award ‘For the Development of the Far East and the Arctic’.

The International Conference ‘Arctic: Sustainable Development’ has been organized since 2016.

The event is organized by the Interregional Scientific, Technological, Business and Educational Partnership ‘Sustainable Development of the Far East and the Arctic’ and System Consulting LLC with the support and participation of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Government and Northern Affairs.

The 6th ‘The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ International Arctic Forum will be held in Murmansk on 26–27 March under the motto ‘To Live in the North!’. The Forum is a key platform for discussing topical issues of socio-economic development of the Arctic territories, elaboration of multilateral mechanisms for joint disclosure and effective development of the powerful resource potential of the Arctic region. The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian Government.
