Programme released for Day of the Future International Youth Economic Forum

The Day of the Future International Youth Economic Forum will be held on 21 June 2025 as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

“Supporting talented youth is an investment in our country’s future. The Day of the Future Forum provides a unique platform where young leaders not only can gain knowledge and skills, but also make a real contribution to solving global challenges,” Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

The Forum will address key topics that reflect the challenges of our times and aim to support talented youth. Participants will engage in interactive formats that promote the development of skills and ideas. One of the key focuses will be on entrepreneurship: the ‘30 Questions with a Billionaire’ session will provide participants with a chance to pose questions to famous business leaders, while the mentor lounge ‘Business Never Sleeps: Analysis 360’ and entrepreneurial marathon will offer an opportunity to present their projects to experts, receive valuable recommendations, and hone their skills in solving real business cases.

Technology and innovation will have a special place in the programme. Sessions on technological leadership, biotechnology, and the space industry will show how new technologies are shaping the future. The scientific reboot in the format of popular science will clearly explain the principles of quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing in an effort to inspire the incorporation of innovations into everyday life.

Education and training will be key discussion topics. Discussions about interaction between universities, business, and the government will emphasize the need for on-the-job training to overcome staff shortages in the digital economy and foreign economic activities. Particular attention will be paid to media and communications: the session ‘Media Future’ and discussions of media sports will show how young people are rewriting the rules of the information environment and promoting sports through digital platforms.

The financial sector is also a major focus: the session ‘Finance of the Future: Like, Share, Profit’ will examine how digital technologies are transforming the economy and what skills are needed for success. Discussions about leadership and branding will reveal the secrets of how to create a strong reputation and unique approaches to leadership, including the contribution of women entrepreneurs to the economy. The participants will look at international cooperation with a business game based on the model of the Eurasian Economic Union, where participants will propose solutions for strengthening the business climate and regulating AI.

The Day of the Future Forum will provide a platform to share experience and inspiration and find solutions that will determine the economic and technological future.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on 18–21 June 2025.
