Roscongress Foundation and Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed

A meeting between representatives of the Roscongress Foundation and a delegation of Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by the President of the Chamber Mahamadi Savadogo, took place in Moscow. The delegation also included relevant deputies, heads of regional branches, representatives of two commercial organizations in the agricultural sector and the consumer goods sector.

The leadership of Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce and Industry was invited to the First Ministerial Conference of the Russia–Africa Partnership Forum, which will be held on 9–10 November on Sirius Federal Territory, and based on decisions made at the second Russia–Africa Summit, as well as to other congress and exhibition events of the Roscongress Foundation in 2025: St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Let's Travel! Russian Tourism Forum and Russian Energy Week.

“The countries of the African continent show a high level of interest in cooperation with Russia in many areas – from sales markets and interaction on humanitarian issues to the implementation of oil and gas and business projects. Such cooperation has a great potential. We are pleased to see our partners at the largest forums of the Roscongress Foundation and will take an active part in organizing the business programme for them. We are also ready to collaborate on organizing business forums and conferences both in Russia and on the African continent,” Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Roscongress Foundation.

Besides, the meeting discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between the Foundation and Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Within the framework of the existing cooperation agreement of 2019, the parties supported the need to conduct reciprocal business missions of interested economic operators from both sides, as well as to organize a dialogue on issues of promoting the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries in terms of Russian supplies of fuels and lubricants, fertilizers, machinery, as well as Burkina Faso supplies of gold, manganese, rare earths and other mineral resources.

Special attention at the meeting was paid to the issue of facilitating the implementation of large infrastructure projects in Burkina Faso. In particular, the Foundation’s capabilities in establishing contacts with potential Russian engineering contractors in the implementation of promising infrastructure projects in the field of road and rail infrastructure, electric power and mining were announced.

Also, a business mission supported by RC International was held as part of the visit of the Burkina Faso delegation to Moscow, where large Russian mining and agricultural enterprises negotiated with relevant African organizations.
