Russias success in the future depends largely on the dynamics of human capital. Health and education are two main human capital issues. Leadership in the global economy will increasingly be determined by the countrys competitiveness in the global markets of educational and medical technologies and services. In this connection, in the industry whose orientation is limited primarily to the detection and treatment of diseases, healthcare should become an integrated interdisciplinary system that can not only more effectively solve medical and social problems, but also be one of the main drivers of the growth of the Russian economy.

This report by the Higher School of Economics (HSE) deals with the current state of healthcare in Russia, focusing on aspects related to meeting the sectors KPIs and to the priorities of the state policy in this area.

The report «Russia-Egypt: cooperation trajectory» was prepared by the team of authors of the HSE Center for African Studies and the Center for International Trade and Integration with the support of the Roscongress Foundation for the XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, in which Egypt takes part as a guest country.
