Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa, has the largest economy on the continent, and is a leading oil producer. At the Russia—Africa Economic Forum, Nigerian representatives focused on the opportunities of cooperating with Russia in the fuel and energy sector. They commented that «President Putin has welcomed the African people. For us, this is a long-awaited moment.»
