A new
president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and new members of
the FIA World Motor Sport Council were elected at the FIA General Assembly.
Mohammed bin Sulayem of the United Arab Emirates was elected as the new
president of the FIA, while Russian Automobile Federation (RAF) President
Viktor Kiryanov was once again elected to the FIA World Motor Sport Council.
“The
president of the Russian Automobile Federation has the highest authority among
his colleagues both in Russia and abroad. Of course, the re-election of Viktor
Kiryanov to the FIA World Motor Sport Council confirms this. His work on the
Council helps to implement the boldest ideas for the development of the
automobile industry in our country and the professional world community. I am
certain that we can expect interesting joint projects in the near future,”
Roscongress Foundation CEO and Chairman of the Board Alexander Stuglev said.
Since 2020,
the Roscongress Foundation has been in charge of the Russian Automobile Federation’s
Committee for the Development of Digital Platforms and Convention and
Exhibition Activities. The committee promotes and develops automobile-related
themes in the media, prepares the automotive aspects of business programmes at
Russia’s largest forums and exhibitions, develops multimedia platforms and new
projects dedicated to automobiles, and creates new areas for the development of
the RAF in the Russian regions. In addition, the Russian Automobile
Federation’s projects and activities are actively promoted at key events of the
Roscongress Foundation.
“The opportunity to work on the FIA World Motor Sport Council that has been granted based on the results of the last elections confirms that motor sports in Russia are developing on the right track. This is our shared victory and merit. I would like to thank everyone who invests their efforts, funds, knowledge, and time in motor sports and the Russian Automobile Federation!” Kiryanov said.
Viktor Kiryanov has been president of the RAF since 2003. He has been a member of the FIA World Motor Sport Council since 2009. The Council manages all sporting events regulated by the FIA.
The
Roscongress Foundation also congratulates Kiryanov and wishes him success in
his new activities and the implementation of future projects!
