Russian Deputy Prime Minister and
Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in the Far Eastern
Federal District Yury Trutnev conducted a visual inspection of the Far East
Street exhibition and observed the construction of its pavilions.
The exhibition will open on the
embankment of Ajax Bay on 5 September, the first day of the Eastern Economic Forum, and
will remain open until 11 September. It will showcase the unique features of
the Far East, the economic potential of all eleven regions of the Far Eastern
Federal District, as well as their tourism opportunities and cultural
traditions. The regions will share the investment projects they have
implemented as well as future projects with the Forums guests.
«The Far East Street was conceived eight
years ago. At that time, we suggested to the governors that they show why
people love their native land. Since then, the pavilions have changed a lot,
and now they truly represent the history, culture, and nature of all the
territories and regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. I think its important
to demonstrate what the Far East is and what life is like there to the people
coming to the Forum from all over Russia and guests from dozens of countries
around the world,» Trutnev said.
This year, the exhibition will be
held under the slogan What Have You Done for Technological Victory of Russia?.
It will place special emphasis on presenting opportunities for import
substitution and the technological independence of the Far Easts regions, as
well as self-sufficiency in food.
«Theres a good reason why the Far
East Street exhibition is a full-fledged part of the Eastern Economic Forums
programme. In addition to the exposition component, its also an opportunity
for each region of the Far Eastern Federal District to showcase itself to
potential investors from different countries. This year, the exhibition will
become a focal point for cultural, sports, and business events. I am certain that
the Forum participants, as well as the residents and guests of Vladivostok,
will be able to discover new facets of our Far East,» Eastern Economic Forum
Director Igor Pavlov said.
In addition to its ongoing
investment projects, the Far Eastern regions will present unique and
breakthrough projects, as well as an exciting, distinctive cultural programme
and traditional cuisine. Locally produced goods will be presented at all
pavilions, tastings will be held at individual pavilions, and unique jewellery
and local clothing brands will be sold.
The pavilions will also present some
of the unique local developments and achievements that are being implemented by
start-ups, and the expositions themselves will include extensive interactive
layouts, separate booths with major investment projects, modern touch screens
with content management panels, and virtual reality objects.
The expositions of the Far Eastern
regions also feature numerous stationary and interactive animated photo zones,
art objects, master classes, and exhibitions. The pavilions will also be
illuminated at night in a bright and unusual manner.
«Today, the level of the exposition
is so impressive that it would look presentable in any place. Thats why,
before my trip to Vladivostok, I spoke with Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin about
the possibility of restoring the Far East pavilion in our countrys capital. A
few years ago, the Far East pavilion at the All-Russian Exhibition Centre [in
Moscow] was badly damaged by fire and, alas, could not be restored. Looking at
what our colleagues from the regions have already presented today, I realized
that we wont have to look for an exposition,» Trutnev said.
In addition, the Far East Street
will include six industry pavilions this year. The Russian Ministry of Sports
will have two pavilions: Sport a vital norm and the Arena
GTO. The former will serve
as a platform for productive discussions about the development of physical
culture and sports. The Arena GTO pavilion will be the centre of the
Forums sporting events. For the first time, it will host the open
international GTO Games 2022 Cup of the Far East, which will feature
teams from the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, as well as some of the
best athletes from all over Russia.
The exhibition will also include the
Tiger House interactive pavilion, which is timed to coincide with the 2nd
International Tiger Forum.
The pavilion of the Far East and
Arctic Development Corporation will introduce visitors to the natural resources
of the Far East macro-region, as well as unique opportunities for life,
investment, and travel. This year, the exposition will be fully multimedia and focus
on the new image of cities, tourism, agriculture, fisheries, mining, and forest
resources. Per tradition, the pavilion will offer tastings of foods made by participants
in the Far Eastern Hectare programme and will present digital services and
government support mechanisms.
A number of pavilions on Far East
Street will be making their debut at the exhibition this year.
The Tourism.RF Corporations
pavilion will be designed as a three-star hotel. The House of Indigenous
Peoples will showcase the culture and life of Russias Indigenous peoples.
Numerous events will take place at this site, including the Creative Industries
Forum, as well as various master classes, roundtables, and exhibitions. In
addition, visitors to the pavilion will have a chance to sample the unique
gastronomy of the north.
The Days of the Far East Regions
will be held daily as part of the exhibitions cultural programme. Each day
will be dedicated to two regions, and a gala concert will take place on the
last day of the exhibition.
In addition, for the first time, the Far East Street will feature a youth creative campus, where talented children will be able to take part in master classes and attend lectures by creative experts on themes that tie in the cultural heritage of the peoples of the Far East with modern creative approaches.
