A large-scale reconstruction of the international terminal of Yakutsk Airport is being implemented pursuant to the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, within the framework of the comprehensive master plan of the city of Yakutsk. The project is intended to radically upgrade the transport gateway of the republic and strengthen its role in the development of international tourism and the economy, doubling the throughput capacity of the international terminal — from 100 to 200 passengers per hour
